Train with us

Are you interested in being trained as a Doula in South Carolina?
Since 2010, our Community Doula Training Program has been committed to cultivating compassionate, culturally responsive birth workers who serve and uplift their communities. Rooted in reproductive justice, our program provides comprehensive training for individuals passionate about supporting birthing people through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
Over the past decade, we've proudly trained hundreds of doulas, with a focus on serving limited-income families who face disproportionate health disparities. Our curriculum blends evidence-based care, traditional knowledge, and trauma-informed support practices.
Graduates of our program are equipped to:
Provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support
Advocate for respectful and equitable maternity care
Empower families with knowledge and resources
Build connections within their communities to improve birth outcomes
With deep roots in community organizing and maternal health equity, we continue to shape the next generation of doulas who are not only skilled birth workers but also compassionate community health workers.

Is your organization or community interested in hosting a training in South Carolina?
We are committed to strengthening maternal and infant health by partnering with local organizations, educational institutions, and community providers to train community-based doulas directly within their communities. Through these partnerships, we aim to:
Expand Access to Culturally Competent Care: By recruiting and training doulas from the communities they will serve, we ensure care that is culturally relevant, linguistically appropriate, and grounded in trust.
Build Local Capacity: Partnering with community organizations empowers local leaders and creates sustainable support networks around birth and postpartum care.
Leverage Institutional Resources: Collaborating with academic and healthcare institutions provides access to evidence-based curricula, certification pathways, and clinical support.
Promote Health Equity: Training doulas within underserved communities addresses disparities in maternal health outcomes by providing continuous, personalized, and empathetic support to birthing people.
These partnerships create a scalable and community-centered model that enhances maternal health outcomes and strengthens the healthcare workforce from within.
